Transcription: Since their inception in 16th century Reformation Europe, Mennonite communities have frequently moved in search of religious freedom. Many Mennonites of Russian-German origin began arriving in Canada by the 1930s, some from colonies in Mexico. Many Mennonites farmed close to their brothers, fathers and cousins for social reasons and to save money by sharing the farm work.
